One of the things we like to celebrate most here at Griffin Chrysler Dodge Jeep® RAM is the arrival of spring. That’s because it comes at just the right time when the citizens of our beloved Jefferson, WI start to become bored with winter, and the need for change grows. But with spring comes great responsibility to make sure your car, truck, or SUV is well equipped to deal with the change. Here is a short list of things you should do with your vehicle:
Maintain Your Air Conditioner
Most likely, the air conditioner in your car has properly been turned off for the past few months, so it’s a great time to check if everything is in fine order. Take your car to our service department, and we’ll help you maintain your entire air conditioner unit. Just because it hasn’t been turned on doesn’t mean it hasn’t gathered dirt and debris along the way.
Wash Your Car
With road salts most likely building up under your vehicle, whether it’s a heavy-duty truck or one of the best family minivans out there, the best thing you can do now is to wash it thoroughly inside and out. Road salts can rust your car, and since you don’t know where it has landed, whether it’s in the wheel wells or the paint of your vehicle, it’s advisable to wash it off now before it gets too late. Don’t forget to clean out the cabin as well! Remove any trash, vacuum the seats, wash the floor mats, and wipe down the dash.
Rotate Your Tires
The winter roads may have done a number on your car with the severe road conditions and changing temperatures. Thus, it’s a good time to head down to our dealership and have one of our trained technicians rotate your tires and inspect the air pressure levels. It’s a simple job to help keep your car in great health.
